So we made it to Houston and parked the trailer where it would stay for a few days. It, however, stayed much longer than we intended. Houston got rain, a whole lot of it. Houston got enough rain to create vast amounts of mud.
It is bad enough to have a vacation affected by a road bump like this but that, ladies and gentlemen, is our home. We tried over the course of several days. Each time we hoped that it would be drier. No go. We tried several different trucks and still no go.
Finally, we had roadside service come out. That’s when I was reminded that miracles are real. After several approaches and very conscientious thought, our wonderful tow truck driver made this happen.
Can I tell you? I cried.
It was a beautiful thing. Not that we’re unstuck, the travels can resume!

Okay. I had to laugh at this one, Traci, because if you look back to my March 12th post on my Facebook page, you’ll see me reading one of the twins’ favorite books to them: My Truck is Stuck!, by Kevin Lewis and Daniel Kirk. In that story, it’s a two truck and mechanic who finally are able to pull the stuck truck out of the pothole. One of the twins’ other early favs is called Little Blue Truck, by Alice Schertle, and actually is nearly the exact same story line. But anyhoooooo . . . I couldn’t help but think of these books when reading about your Houston two truck! Glad you got out of the mud. AAA has saved me quite a few times, myself.
