Let’s Get Hitch-ed!
Yep! Our truck and our trailer have moved beyond the “getting to know each other” stage and are finally making a long term commitment. (And yes, I played that penny pun for all it was worth!)
Seriously, though, this is a big deal. The trailer has officially been hitched to the truck which means that it is moving very, very soon. We are in a 3 Days to Retirement and 10 Days to Pull-out situation. Mr. Hero is practicing pulling this behemoth right now. It’s 32′ long plus the hitch adds another 2′ or so. With the truck, we’re basically 45′ of lane change and parking. You can see why we can’t hang out in Austin long. This baby takes up space!
As to where we go from Austin… let’s play “Where in the US is the Star Family?”
Clue #1 — This national park has more birds than any other — over 450. If you know the answer, tweet me at @tracisstar. There’s no prize but I’ll tell the world you’re brilliant.
