Whether homeschooling or unschooling,
getting outside makes all the difference.
If you are going to be stuck anywhere, the last week in central Texas hasn’t been half bad. We have had nights in the high 40s/low 50s and the days have climbed to the high 70s with sunshine. And since we are homeschooling, we can break up our day with outside time. This has been especially good for Sonny-Bunny. He actually took his books outside to read. And when he did a get a break, this was how he spent it.
We are still trying to figure out our homeschooling / unschooling groove. Sonny-Bunny definitely gives me less pushback if he gets lots of breaks, especially outside. I even sat out there with him. And of course, I couldn’t let him have all the Minecraft beanie fun.
I know we’re spoiled by the weather right now but I’m definitely going to take advantage. I think we’ll head out for a nature hike tomorrow.
