When I was an actress, there was a phrase I came to know all too well. “Hurry up and wait.” I thought I had left that behind when I left the world of auditions.
Alas, that was before I dealt with the extremely difficult world of retirement from the U.S. military. We have been living the two steps forward, three steps back life for months now. We think we’re finished and then someone calls and needs something else. If XEROX is still in the copying business, we have probably made them a fortune as of late.
We thought we would be hitting the road at the beginning of the year. I mean, how perfect, right? New year, new life. But no… that was not to be. Today is February 1st and our trailer has not yet rolled. We have received heartening news, however, I think we will be rolling well before March 1st rolls around.
Tomorrow, we are driving to Galveston for a little side travel. We won’t be taking the trailer but we will be traveling so I’m counting it as a win.

Oh all those loose ends must be aggravating! I hope you get rollin’ before much longer. Have fun in Galveston!
