This is what it has felt like for most of the first month of our “travels”. Lost in a sea of retirement paperwork, it seemed we would never make the wheels on this bus go round and round. I am happy to say that the bureaucratic traffic is beginning to clear and we are seeing the road open up in front of us.
Today, we scheduled the trailer for a solid once-over to ensure she is ready to take on the Bucket List. It looks like — fingers crossed, knock on wood, insert other superstition here — we will be ready to take on the world in a about three weeks. Three weeks can seem long but in the scope of things, not too bad. I have a date. I can start planning. And those who know me, know that I love to plan!
In the mean, we are filling our days with as much travel as our tethered life has allowed. We are headed to Galveston next week to visit the many historical offerings there. And, of course, a walk on the beach.
We are revved and ready, just waiting for the pace car to clear the track so we can get rolling!
