Tomorrow will be the first morning of our new life as homeschoolers. The friends of my children will return to the only school my children have known and I will be responsible for my children’s growth and learning going forward. While I can’t deny a little relief at avoiding the morning routine, I must admit some trepidation as this new responsibility.
I know there are many resources available, not the least of which is my former-teacher mother and girlfriend/mommy blogger/homeschooler Priscilla aka Wheelchair Mommy, but at the end of the day it will be me that accounts for the sanity and sanctity of this decision.
If you have homeschooled, please share with me any ideas, thoughts, and suggestions you have. I would especially appreciate the lessons learned the hard way, skinned knees and egos advice. I never envisioned myself as a homeschooler but it is part and parcel of this new adventure and I want to do it right.
